Under Age Weekly Update September 25th 2015

Hello folks,

A big week-end ahead for our Under 16’s, as they commence their Pan Munster campaign with a trip to north side rivals Thomond. Well done to our Under 14’s who picked up where they left off last season, with a comprehensive win over NCW/Estuary in the league last Sunday. Unfortunately, both Under 16’s and 18’s matches has to be postponed due to bereavement at Thurles RFC and inclement weather respectively.

Under 16 Pan Munster – YM vs Thurles – postponed due bereavement at Thurles – refixed to 18 Oct

Under 12 Blitz at Ballina/Killaloe – won all matches

Under 18 Friendly vs Kilrush – cancelled due to weather

Under 13 Friendly – nil all draw vs St Mary’s at St Munchin’s College.

Open Day -4th October, 2015 – don’t forget, our Open Day takes place on Sunday week at 11.00 Training for Minis from 10 to 11, and Barbeque, teas & coffees, Bouncey castles etc. afterwards from 11 a.m. onwards.

Club Registrations – could we please ask all coaches/managers to follow up for any outstanding club registrations – deadline is Sunday 4th October.

IRFU/ Club Raffle – As advised at previous meetings, we will not be holding our Under Age raffle to coincide with our Open Day, but will instead focus our energies on the IFRU Monster draw. All funds collected will remain within the club, and as this will be one of our main fund raising activities, we would urge you to give this fund raiser your full support. Tickets are priced at €10.00 each, with real quality prizes, including trips to South Africa. We will be distributing tickets to each team on Sunday morning, and each player is expected to purchase one ticket at least.

Finally, I have included a few drills which you may find useful.

Yours in rugby,

Ciaran O’Callaghan
