We enter our 2nd season in rugby with great anticipation. A big welcome is extended to all our new players at both senior and under-age level.
Our senior ladies will take part in the A.I.L. Division 2 league this season. For the first time the girls are guaranteed proper 15-a-side games and with 3 home games scheduled, we hope to get plenty of support.
At under-age level we have increased numbers at under-14 and under-16 level and hope to compete in the relevant leagues for each grade. Unfortunately we will be unable to field an under-18 team this season due to school commitments. Some of our under-18s will qualify shortly for senior rugby and they are looking forward to this.

A proper coaching structure has also been put in place by Head coach, Eddie Montgomery. Eddie will coach the Senior Ladies assisted by our Welsh dynamo, Enfys Davies. The under-16s will be coached by Ross McCoy assisted by Fiona Hoban, and the under-14s will be coached by Hugh McGrath assisted by Margaret Cassidy & Trish Montgomery.

We rounded off last season with a very successful 7s blitz. We were honoured to have 2 guest players, Kate Sheahan and Nicole Fitzgerald, of UL Bohs and Munster/Ireland fame. Young Munster fielded two teams with one guest player a-piece. We hope to make this an annual feature. Again your support would be appreciated.

Lastly, I would like to say ‘Thank you’ to the Senior Committee and the Youth Committee of Young Munster who have been very supportive since our inception.
