This year I am humbled and extremely honoured to be President of Young Munster R.F.C. A club that I have been involved with all my life and hold so dear to my heart. I look forward to the season with great anticipation and expectation as all our teams have made great progress over the past couple of seasons and with the work done in the close season, I am sure this progress will continue.

I thank you the members, supporters, players, coaches, back room personal and committee for your support and I wish you an enjoyable and successful season.

To our Youth Section who have set an example for all clubs to follow for many years to their committee, coaches, players and parents I wish you a successful season and thank you for all your efforts.

I would also like to give a speial mention to Tony Grant for giving over forty years of service to the club as a player, under-age coach and senior coach on behalf of the club I would like to extend our gratitude for years of dedication and commitment.

Our club for the first time will be fielding teams in women's Rugby at both senior and under-age level, I wish all players, coaches and committee every success and hope it goes from strength to strength.

I am delighted we have Bus Eireann again as our main sponsor and would like to thank Mr. Barry Coyle and Mr. Paddy McGuiness for their continued support.

I would also like to thank Eddie Fitzgerald of the Corner Flag Bar for his sponsorship this year and the many years of support in the past.

I would like to thank all advertisers and match sponsors and all who support the club in any way, for your continued support we are ever grateful.

To Paul O'Connell who has represented his club, province, Country and the Lions with great distinction we are extremely proud of you and thank you for your continued dedication to the Club.

And finally I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visiting teams and supporters to Tom Clifford Park and hope you have an enjoyable stay in Limerick.
