President

A chara

May I welcome you once again to another season in our 114th year. It is a great honour for me and my family to be President of this great club

I would like to thank you the members, our loyal supporters, coaches, players, committee, and all those people who give of their time and energy unselfishly week in week out.

To our main sponsor Bus Eireann and all our other sponsors including P & W Mc Mahon O Brien, Eddie Fitz of The Corner Flag, and all the other sponsors who help us during the year a big thank you.

To our underage, womens team, our 2nds, 3rds and U/21’s and of course our senior team may I wish you all good luck and best wishes for the coming season.

I would like to congratulate Paul O Connell on becoming the first Young Munster player and Limerick man to captain the British and Irish Lions team, winning the grand slam and also captaining the Munster team to win the Magners league. Also to Keith Earls who had an outstanding season with Munster and had the great honour of playing for the Lions during the Summer. It just goes to show kids that if you work hard enough dreams do come true. Well done Paul and Keith you are great ambassadors for our club. The Club is very proud of you both.

On behalf of myself our committee, I would like to extend a very warm Cead Mile Failte from Young Munster RFC to all our visiting clubs and supporters and hope you have an enjoyable and memorable time with us.

This season heralds the start of our all weather pitch and a lot of good work has been done in Greenfields and in Derryknockane over the Summer to ensure its completion for this season. A big thank you to all those people who gave of their time in getting it ready.

On a final note, I would like to say well done to our senior team and coaches on staying in the 1st division. Its where we belong.

Beautiful Beautiful Munsters
