THEY may have been disappointed with last Sunday's defeat in the final of the Munster Junior Cup final, but Young Munster fans got an unexpected boost this Tuesday when they got word that they have been awarded the Munster Rugby Club of the Year Award for season 2009/10.

The honour is fully justified with the Cookies winning promotion to AIL division one A, lifting the Munster Senior Cup and the Limerick Charity Cup and their ladies winning the AIL Women's Plate. 'Munsters' are still in line for more honours when they play Thurles in the O'Carroll Cup final in Kilballyowen, Bruff this coming Friday.

Last Sunday they lost to UL Bohemian in the final of the Munster Junior Cup.
