A great end to the first half of the season. Another victory which still sees us in second place 2 pts behind Old Belvedere. In a wind swept Crowley park this game stuttered along with both sides making some basic errors. Galwegians got off to the better start and lead 6 nil half way through the first half thanks to two penalties from R O Brien.
Young Munster started to settle into the game and after some good pressure were award a penalty which Alan Kingsley converted. Just on the stroke of half time Kingsley was successful again with another penalty to leave the score all tied. The breakthrough for Young Munster came in the 66th minute when a well worked move from the backs and forwards saw Derek Corcoran score under the posts, which Kingsley converted to leave the score 13pts to 6pts in favour of the visiting team. Galwegians replied with another penalty this time from D Clarke, and Kingsley added another penalty for Young Munster to leave the final score 16pts to 9pts.
Our next AIL game is on January 9th at home to Dungannon.
